youtube is the best kind of dossin'

Well, I've been spending a LOT of time doing not all that much recently, and Youtube has become my favorite hobby of the moment. I've always had much appreciation for the amazing way it lets you feel like you know the randomer singing on your screen, but not until recently have I sat clicking away like a maniac enjoying, or otherwise, the sounds that are produced by the millions of faces. I then started FB all my finds, and thought, hang on, about time I returned to my long-lost friend that is my blog, so here I am!

So, naturally, it all started with a bit of Frank Turner. So lovely, and so to the point. He is yet to realise, I am the love of his life, and one day we will get married.

Then, after the most generous present my dad ever bought me for my birthday, a CD he wanted, I have become addicted to the amazing sounds of Adele. At first, I was possibly in love with "Someone Like You", but then after listening to the whole album for the first time through, I found this gem, and my car CD player has never played track 9 so many times.

Once I managed to stop pressing "replay" I moved on to my new nearly favorite ginger in the whole wide world. I'd heard so much stuff about Ed Sheeran, and never got round to investigating, and then it dawned upon me in my youtube time, and I have never been more happy to find out something about someone. Don't think amazing even describes him. Watch, and be educated..

I know, you are all thinking WOW, all these songs are possibly the best things I have ever had the pleasure to listen to, and now is where I may be seen to let the side down a little, however I think for a 16 year old, this kid is amazingly awesome, a self-taught pianist, guitarist, drummer and trumpet player, however much like marmite; either loved or hated. I love JB. Love, as in a aww, you are so cute like my baby cousin kinda way.

I ended my Youtube searches of the day, with a much missed golden 'oldie' from the days of year 12; get cape, wear cape, fly. Amazing how one song can bring back memories of a whole time phrase, walking to school, 'dossin' with my friends, generally being happy..

All this Youtube business reminded me why I love music so much, the smallest part of a song can trigger off some of the best memories of your life, and make you feel like your best-friends, however many miles away they may be, are right by your side smiling and singing with you.
For me right now, summer cannot come soon enough. Quality time, with the most amazing people I know, but for now, me, youtube and my to-do list are very much best friends for the remainer of semester 2 in order to get over this MASSIVE mountain of work that has the weird desire of growing bigger than Mt. Everest.

So yes, after all the waffle, I guess I am glad to be back in blog world, you are more than likely not too pleased to have me and my rambling ways back, but the same certainly cannot be said about my Youtube finds.

In short, youtube! Or if not, atleast smile, and send those friends you haven't spoken to in a while some much needed love.

Properly Summer.

Well, although I have been home for nearly a WHOLE MONTH summer seems to have taken a little bit of a while to get itself rolling.

My recent visit to Belfast allowed me to be introduce to some lovely people that my bezzie goes to university with, and they were some of the nicest people I have been lucky enough to meet :)
So that, along with bringing Becca home was a nice way to start summer properly, and then a trip to bitts park in the sunshine with Charlotte and Peyton was also very nice.
Okay, so my blog is now turning into a boring rendition of my week, moving on swiftly.
FESTIVAL SEASON officially starts for me on tuesday, in the little place of the Isle of Wight. It's like a double whammy, my first ever festival and my first ever trip to the place I have heard so much about from Sam Steele (no, he actually isn't a superhero, his name just gives off that vibe)

The first ever festival. I must say, I have never been so scared of being underprepared in my life. I mean, for starters I have no idea what to even take, so that results in a little bit of an issue, and then I am also a very BAD person at packing. When it comes to travelling lightly, it simply does not happen where I am concerned. So, fitting a week's worth of stuff into a rucksack could be an intresting feat non the less.

I feel this blog has wittered on enough, and in essence really didn't say all that much. However, upon my return I am sure I will have plently of lovely smelly stories to share :)

influenced.

Isn't it strange, how after even 10 minutes with someone you can be influenced into liking, thinking, doing or even feeling a certain way, just because that person wants you too..
I mean, for example, take Micheal Buble, he is what can only be described as beautiful, and god like in his own right. Musically, one of the most talented people in existance, no one could ever deny that he has a voice to die for. However, even though knowing all of this for sometime, it only ever became apparent when making new friends, one of which was in awe of the great man himself. In awe may even be a bit of an understatement, he wanted to be Buble himself. Thus, leading me into a healthy (perhaps regarded as unhealthy by many, however I do believe it to be perfectly normal) obbsession with a man I will never, or it is VERY unlikely that I will, meet. Watching his "an audience with.." just re-instated my love for a man who in the recent months has been suffering from some poor neglection on my behalf, and may I say, what one happy reunion it has been :)
I mean, seriously, how could you not just LOVE him.
So yes, back to the point of this ever so rambling blog. I always assumed, or took great pride in the fact, that I tend to be a very un-influenced person, and how incredibly wrong I was.
It is, perhaps, my biggest flaw. I have grown a grave dislike to disagreements, or arguements of any sort, which usually results in me just "going with the flow", or agreeing, which would possibly make me the most influenced person. When I first realised this, I was rather taken-aback, and I am sure many of my friends would be too, as I am outspoken, and do tend to be the organiser. However, in my 'old' age, I have found that I really am as influenced as one can get.
BUT NEVER FEAR, as this influence thing has led to Micheal Buble, so it surely can't all be bad?

So yeah, I guess, getting to my point finally, I am making a May resolution :) be less unfluenced, and really stop caring about what others think about me. Well, not entirely, but I'm sure you generally catch my drift :)

spectacular bruise.

well, as many of my friends know, I have an amazing ability of being the victim of injury, which results in many rather shocking bruises. However, my new and pretty amazing bruise is the best yet, and resulted in the most fantastic way ever, being flung off a quad bike (a near death experience I do NOT wish to repeat..).
however, enough about my injuries, I realised that after I was encouraged to create a blog, I have been lacking in effort, and that makes for a not too intresting blog.
I haven't really done all that much to report on to be fair, apart from managing to make myself epically sunburnt due to unheard of sunshine in the wonderful Carlisle, this could be regarded as a massive fail, being sunburned in England, however, I am pleased that it has been warm enough for sunburn to occur :)
apart from that it has just been a usual weekend with a few trips to the pub which always results in a few cringeworthy but hilarious moments..
anyhow, back to the sunshine..

There's a first time for everything..

Well, here goes nothing I guess.. I wasn't too sure what to write, but I am under strict instructions from my best friend that blogging is THE thing to be doing right now, so I may as well fit in, right? therefore following your lead :) So this is the start of my very own blog, pretty strange to think loads of people are going to get insightful yet rambling views from me on my very own day, weird. I guess I started to write this at a bit of an inapporiate time, seen as nothing has actually happened yet today as it is only 10:55am, apart from selling a dolls house, but of course, that's a given.
So I think I will leave it there for now,
